You Thought It Was Bad? It’s Worse

Elon Musk’s DOGE Government Efficiency people took a quick look at Social Security. Millions – yes, millions – of recipients are using the numbers of dead people. Some recipients appear to be over 300 years old. Musk suggests that the movie “Twilight” may not be horror fiction but a documentary, because the undead seem to be walking around and collecting benefits, thereby bankrupting the system even faster.

No, Elon, it’s not fiction. But what refuses to die are not actual people, but the idea that you can get something for nothing. Whether you call it DOGE, or a religious revival, or pride of citizenship, we need something to stop blatant theft, or Social Security and Medicare really will go broke.
