Disrespecting our flag by throwing in on the ground, burning it, or kneeling during the National Anthem is only the first step. Forbidding display of the flag in schools or public offices has already occurred. After all, it may make someone uncomfortable. Coming soon: Arresting citizens for merely waving the flag in public.
The Brits, from whom we get our legal tradition, are already doing this. Yes, the election of Trump slowed the move to the left. But like all movements, it keeps moving unless something stops it. That something is you and me.
