California DOGE? Just A Thought

Checking my emails this morning. Our Los Angeles neighborhood association website carries a post bemoaning the fact that California gasoline and diesel prices are $1 to $2 above the rest of the nation. Could Californians be waking up?

Could they come to realize that high diesel prices mean high prices for nearly everything, including food? Could they come to understand that when Obama said he wanted the price of energy to “skyrocket,” he was implying homeless families and hungry children, but just not bothering to mention those side effects of his “save the planet” dreams?

You see, the environmentalists require “boutique” motor fuel with special winter and summer blends, as if gasoline were fine whiskey that required expert blenders to achieve the perfect taste. But despite this, California roads rank near the bottom of the 50 states for pot holes and bad maintenance. What a sad joke.

Of course, high fuel prices put more money into the pockets of the oil companies, and more taxes into the state treasury. Odd how that works. Maybe California could use their own DOGE peering into those high prices. Just a thought.
