Irish Demonstrate For Ireland
The Irish people fought for years – no, centuries – for their homeland. They really don’t want to sit by idly and watch it be taken over by immigrants who share nothing with them. There was an old expression: Don’t get his Irish up.
Well, they should have listened. Now they got their Irish up. Over 100,000 demonstrators fill the streets of Dublin. They want their country back. And knowing the Irish, they intend to get it.
Do you think, just possibly, there is a lesson here? When people love their homeland, it is best not to mess with it. It is best not to make them feel displaced, replaced, and disrespected in their own home. It is best not to get their Irish up. To a very great extent, those are the people who elected Trump.
And they haven’t changed, not one centimeter. You know what a centimeter is, don’t you? That is the approximate distance between Trump’s ear and Trump’s brain. Many people appear to have forgotten that. But Trump hasn’t forgotten, nor have we.
When we said we wanted our country back, we were just as serious as the Irish are. And just as volatile as well.
