What Next For Los Angeles?

• Los Angeles reduced funding for the Fire Department. Meanwhile, the reservoir in the Pacific Palisades area was drained for repairs, and the hydrants were dry. The fire chief states she did not know this, because it is not her responsibility but the responsibility of the Department of Water and Power. At least 1400 homes are destroyed in a massive fire, and 24 deaths resulted.

• Now funding for the Police Department and Animal Control is being reduced. What is being planned? A massive riot? A dog or cat disease requiring more shelter space? Am I cruel to ask these questions? Or merely aware? The city government is clearly not on our side.
