Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost is the first American Pope in history. The name is of French origin. Prevost spent years in Peru. We can hope that he did not absorb too much liberation theology, which is Marxism clothed in Catholic vestments. We can hope that he reads from the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and that he does not study too closely the Gospel According To Karl.

The new Pope was born in Chicago. As the old saying goes, there is the right way, the wrong way, the easy way, and the Chicago way. The world situation being what it is, perhaps a bit of the Chicago way might work wonders.

We had Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD. Now we have Chicago Pope. Who knew?
