No Deal With Tim Cook

Steve Jobs was a genius. He saw a smart phone before anyone else even dreamed of one. When asked who wanted one, he replied, “People don’t know what they want until they see it.” And no one had seen a smart phone until he made one.

When Jobs died, admirers set up a makeshift shrine at the Apple store in Century City, Los Angeles, with candles and flowers. I believe there were similar shrines elsewhere. Name one other inventor who was given his own shrine. You can’t.

But this personal loyalty died long ago. Tim Cook has one-syllable first and last names and dresses in a sports shirt and jeans. But he is not Steve Jobs, not even close. Does he really believe an American-made iPhone would cost well over $3000? Why? Most of the cost is components. Much of the labor is automated, and with AI, more will be.

I believe much of the pressure to produce things overseas is ideologic, not economic. The globalists love to steal American jobs. They lust to get rid of our middle class and convert us into a few rich and a huge lower class.

Note that the worst insult a communist could think of was not “rich” but “bourgeois,” that is, middle class. Perhaps there is a lesson here.

Let us make a smart phone here and see what it really costs. Donald Trump may not have been able to make a deal with Tim Cook, but I’ll bet he could have made one with Steve Jobs.
