Army Exceeds Its Recruiting Goal

Washington Times:

“The Army has exceeded its fiscal year 2025 recruiting goal with four months to spare, officials announced Tuesday, with 61,000 future soldiers signing up and average per-day enlistments up over last year by more than 50%.”

This report is encouraging but not surprising. Young men who aspire to do something macho are not likely to sign up to risk their lives for woke leaders who are fundamentally un-leaderlike. After all, the desk in the Oval Office is named the Resolute Desk, not the Indecisive Desk, or the Wishy-Washy Desk, or the Woke Desk, or the DEI Desk, or the Nonbinary Desk, or the Apathetic Desk.

The Book of Revelation tells us: “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” Prospective military recruits feel the same way. Lukewarm leaders evoked a lukewarm response. Real leaders evoke enthusiasm.
