Look at this image from Los Angeles. What do you see? The air is filled with toxic smoke from burning electric vehicles, while rioters wave Mexican flags. Yes, but what do YOU see?

That depends on who you are. If you are one of the great majority of Americans across the country, you see our second most populous city being taken over and partially destroyed by an invading army of foreigners. You see something that fills you with anger and resentment toward those who made this invasion possible. You see something that fills you with resolve to do whatever you can to oppose it. Whatever.

But if you are a member of a “progressive” group who talks only to other members of the group, you see freedom fighters opposing that Nazi Donald Trump. You see something you want more of. You have no idea how the majority of Americans see it, nor do you care. Who cares what ignorant rednecks think, assuming they think at all?

So it goes. The “progressives” want more violent demonstrations, thinking it will embarrass Trump. But Trump will only be strengthened. The danger of talking only to your own group is that you never hear a fresh idea. Your biases are reinforced, and your errors are never corrected.
