Spreading European Culture
Visitors from the Middle East and Africa feel free to spread their culture, no matter who objects. So this young man with a thick Scottish burr also feels free to spread HIS culture. One of my professors was from Glasgow, so the accent sounds familiar and friendly.
Question: Is a foreigner spreading his culture a visitor or an invader?
Some people say that a bagpipe gives out the sound a cat gives out when she is angry. But I love the sound. It awakens something primitive. I used to have some Scotch whisky in my blood, but no Scots itself, so I must have learned to love it in movies as a child, “Gunga Din,” for example.
