Why Does Cutting Off Family Members Go Only One Way?
Read this compendium of hate, this collection of venom. Then explain to me why people cutting off parents, grandparents, other relatives, and friends are almost always progressives cutting off conservatives, and almost never the reverse.
What is there about progressivism that usurps the place of religion in giving us meaning and a purpose to our lives? Note that the people who cut off relatives are rarely sad about it, but proud of their anger and hatred. “I hate my parents, and now I have an excuse never to see them or allow them to see their grandchildren. I feel so self-righteous and proud of myself!”
Breaking off contact with family members is a chief characteristic of a cult. Substituting politics for family is a chief characteristic of a tyrant. And guess what? It’s not the Trump supporters who are doing that. It’s the other guys. They are the ones trying to wreck the home.
