Subway Sandwiches Are To Eat, Not To Throw

An employee of the U.S. Department of Justice was videoed screaming at a federal officer in Washington, D.C., then throwing a Subway sandwich against his chest.

The nature of the sandwich was not disclosed. If it were pastrami and Jalapeño peppers, he might have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. As it was, he was charged with assault on a peace officer, a felony. He will need to hire a lawyer, which will not be easy because he was also fired from his job.

If a man assaults a police officer, who is armed, trained, and has a bunch of buddies to come to his assistance, what will he do to you, who are unarmed, untrained, and alone? If he has no respect for the law, why would he respect you? He had no respect, or fear of, his father (if any), his teachers, his principal, his pastor (if any), or God Himself. Why would he respect you, or fear to attack you?

Restoring respect for police officers is only a first step in repairing civilization, but it is a necessary first step. Thank the Lord we are taking it.
