Adulation Of Hitler, Or What?

Social media are filled with photos of Hitler and other top Nazis, films of Hitler, and praise for Hitler. This phenomenon is disgusting, but also puzzling. Why now? We have a right to ask:

• What part of this is sincere if misguided admiration for a horrible mass murderer, motivated by hatred of Jews and hatred of freedom?

• And what part is leftist propaganda, designed to evoke fear that conservatives, including Trump voters, are really crypto-Nazis and must be suppressed by any means necessary?

I don’t know. But I really don’t care. Both possibilities are equally dangerous to our constitutional republic. Both are equally repulsive.

Years ago there was a horror movie titled “Godzilla Versus Rodan,” in which two frightening monsters vied for dominance. But who won? Who cared? We were entertained watching the battle. This conflict is less entertaining, but the contestants are just as frightening and disgusting.

You really admire Hitler, or you merely pretend to admire him. Who cares? You are equally dangerous and repulsive. You are equally willing to justify THIS. You are equally willing to put yourself beyond the bounds of civilized human beings.
