Apparently the people who are urging our military to disobey the orders of their civilian commander-in-chief see themselves as some sort of modern-day Confederacy. No way!

This is Governor Pritzker of Illinois. He wants to block federal immigration law in his state. But even with the strictest diet, he will never resemble Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy.

And this is Senator (retired Captain) Mark Kelly, who urges service members to disobey the President if they feel the order is illegal or improper.

But even if he grows a beard, he will never resemble General Robert E. Lee.

No, these are not the spiritual heirs of Confederates, who were, in the end, Americans. On the contrary, they are the heirs of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, who staged a military coup and overthrew the democratic government that had kicked out the czar. If they are going to claim a resemblance to people of the past, tell them to pick the correct people.
