Pope Francis “Corrected” Netanyahu

Prime Minister Netanyahu commented that Jesus spoke Hebrew. Pope Francis “corrected” him and said that Jesus spoke Aramaic.

We believe Jesus spoke Aramaic, a close relative of Hebrew, on a daily basis. But he spoke Hebrew to pray, as do Jews to this day.

When the Pope asks me how to pronounce Latin, he can lecture me about how Jews pray. Until then, let’s stay in our own lanes.
