Go to Canada for free health care. Wait 3 months for an MRI? No problem. The brain tumor will just wait as well, right? Cross the border and get the MRI and the life-saving surgery in days. NO WAY. It’s not free.

Pay for jewelry, tattoos, and body piercing? Pay for sweet rolls and lattes? Why not? We really need them. But health care? That’s a right, right?

You know what free food in hospitals and jails is like? Real gourmet treats. Same for free health care. The consumer is just not part of the equation.
