– Paré saying wounds should not be treated with red-hot iron.
– Semmelweis saying doctors should wash their hands.
– Pasteur saying micro-organisms cause disease.
– Ford saying auto workers should be paid enough to afford autos.

In fact, most progress is made by people who spread “disinformation” and refute “settled science,” but not by bird-brained parrots who repeat what they were told.
