Bad Bunny Half Time Show In Spanish

Some time ago, someone I know visited eastern Canada. She took a tour of the Plains of Abraham, site of the climactic battle between Britain and France. The Brits won, securing Canada for the British Empire.

But Canada remains “bilingual,” with all school children required to learn French, while the requirement for learning English is doubtful at best. As a result, the tour guide for this group composed mainly of Americans spoke only French, but virtually no English. The group demanded their money back.

How does this relate to the Super Bowl half time show in Spanish? I’ll tell you. If Bad Bunny wanted to honor his Puerto Rican homeland, he should have done so IN ENGLISH. The majority of his audience could have understood him, though the obscenities might have gotten him in trouble.

The end result of “bilingual” education is a large underclass that speaks some Spanish and little English. As such, they will be eligible for mainly low-paying jobs. They will watch Spanish language TV stations, and listen to Spanish language radio stations. They will probably not read Spanish language newspapers, because their reading skills are limited.

They will, like a waitress I knew, speak English with a heavy accent, but not know the beautiful Spanish word for butterfly, mariposa.

The object is to recreate their homelands, where a third-grade education is all that is required. This, not some theoretical “diversity,” is the real aim of bilingualism: A dependent, compliant, poorly educated underclass that is a source of cheap labor and Democrat voters.

If this seems like an exaggeration, just take a tour of the Plains of Abraham. The Brits won the battle, but the French are winning the war. But only because the Brits are letting them.
