Another Mar-a-Lago Attack
At about 1:30 am Sunday morning, two Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County deputy detected a man breaching the perimeter of Mar-a-Lago. As your daddy told you, nothing good happens at 1:30 in the morning.
The man was carrying a shotgun in one hand and a can of gasoline in the other. What, exactly, do you suppose he intended to do? Refuel a golf cart, then shoot off his gun to celebrate the closing of the Winter Olympics?
The man was ordered to drop what he was holding. He dropped the gasoline can, but raised the shotgun. The officers shot him dead. This was (1) their duty as law enforcement officers to protect the public, and (2) their right as human beings to defend themselves against a lethal weapon.
No doubt we will be treated to progressives trying to make a hero out of this dangerous loser. To them, trying to murder the President is praiseworthy. Some even went so far as to compare him to Ashley Babbitt. But she entered the Capitol through an open door with a crowd in broad daylight. She was unarmed and threatening no one, unlike this Darwin Award winner.
No, trying to assassinate the President does not make you a hero. Anyone who thinks it does is a mortal enemy of freedom. We used to know that. Time we relearned it.
