Is Iran Supreme Leader Dead?

Question: What is the proper reaction when we hear that an evil man has died? When we heard that Hitler was dead, open joy was universal. But what about people of lesser evil?

Specifically, what about someone who poses as a religious leader, but acts like a tin pot, misogynistic dictator? Here I would follow the example of Iranians themselves, in Iran and in exile. They are overjoyed. That tells me all I need to know.

Leftists would be expected to applaud the downfall of a pseudo-religious tyrant. But because President Trump helped engineer the tyrant’s downfall, they sit on their hands, just as they did at the state-of-the-union address. Medal of Honor recipients? Mother of murdered refugee? Downfall of tyrant? Silence.

Why is leftism so joyless? Or to put it another way, why do joyless, ungrateful, angry people tend to become leftists? Perhaps the problem is less political than it is psychological.
