Trump Doesn’t Remove Hat? Horror!

Post on X excoriates President Trump for not removing his “campaign merchandise” cap while honoring fallen service members returning home at Dover AFB.

But Trump could either: (A) Remove his cap and hold it over his heart as a civilian, or (B) Keep the cap on and salute as Commander-in-Chief, which he is. The cap read “USA,” hardly campaign merchandise.

Face it. To the critics, Trump can do nothing right. If he took off the cap. they would find fault with that, too. And if he had dandruff on his shoulders, they would mention that as evidence he disrespects our troops.

As Ricky Nelson’s song tells us, “If you can’t please everybody, you might as well please yourself.” Trump learned that long ago. We all should learn it now. If we please critics who dislike us, what does that accomplish except to undermine ourselves?
