No, he was an 18-year-old naval aviator who flew 58 combat missions. He was shot down, and only by luck was rescued from the Pacific. You didn’t like him? Fine. But don’t belittle his wartime service. It insults all veterans. Thought we all knew that. Guess I was wrong.
