Bill Maher: Evacuate On High-Speed Rail

Bill Maher gives his opinion of the progressive politicians who have been running Los Angeles and all of California for decades. They are unopposed, except for a few lonely Republicans who stick their heads up out of their burrows, blink in the unaccustomed light, and go back down again.

Maher asks: When the fires broke out, why didn’t people escape by way of high-speed rail? This question, although sarcastic, puts the whole problem of progressivism into sharp focus: Billions spent on a bullet train that goes nowhere and is unlikely ever to go anywhere, but budget cuts for the Fire Department.

No, the 27 known dead couldn’t evacuate via high-speed rail. There isn’t any. Woke fire officials were little help, but they were woke. Maher is correct. Either we use Trump’s second inauguration for a second chance, or we continue on our self-destructive path to progressivism. Our choice.
