Student Driver At The Fed

Ever take a ride with a student driver? First he stomped on the gas, rocketed ahead, then stomped on the brakes and threw you against the seat belt. But you don’t expect that from a gray-haired, experienced driver. Yet that is exactly what we are getting from the Fed “experts.”

First massive money printing to finance profligate government spending, until there was an ink shortage. Now heavy braking in the form of high interest rates. How about just a modicum of smoothness and control? Isn’t that implied in the term “expert”?
