In the 8th century the Franks were ruled by a titular king, but the real power was held by the mayor of the palace, a sort of prime minister. Eventually he tired of pretense, kicked out the king, and proclaimed himself king. His son was Charlemagne. Biden is titular president.
Will those who hold the real power eventually tire of pretense and show themselves? Or will they prefer to remain behind the curtain, pulling the strings of their puppet in the Oval Office? In either case, we will have no say in the matter.
