Why in Heaven’s name (literally) are we allowing a war on patients in pain instead of a war on illegal drugs? We allow enough illegal fentanyl to cross our border to kill the entire population. But drug cartels are dangerous. So we focus on patients in pain and their doctors, much safer targets. Like all bullies, we abuse the weaker kids, but give the biggest boys in the schoolyard a wide berth. Cowards!

How can we call ourselves liberal, or conservative, or Christian, or Jewish, or even human? Humans seek to relieve the pain of fellow humans as best they can. Or at least they used to, until bureaucrats got in the way.
