Workers Assaulted, Stores Looted, Suspects Released

Los Angeles and Beverly Hills malls and stores are looted, employees are assaulted. But under the “no bail” policy, 14 suspects are released. The message from our “leaders” is clear: Pick up a hammer, break windows and display cases, assault employees, grab armloads of goods, then walk free.

But why is this chaos limited to blue cities? Why is looting limited to Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and Nordstrom, but food stores are unmolested? No, it’s not poverty. It’s not Covid. It’s not the phases of the moon. It’s godless people running free in police-less streets.

This chaos can’t continue. Either: 1) Stores will be boarded up just in time for Christmas, or 2) Employees will tire of being terrorized or actually hit, and come to work carrying guns. When those responsible for public safety stand by idly, people take things into their own hands.

The least experienced LAPD officer had 6 months in the academy, then 18 months of probationary status under a training officer. But the LAPD was defunded by $150 million. So we are, in effect, replacing them either with nothing, or with untrained civilians. There is stupid, and then there is dangerously stupid.
