For years Stalin sent dissidents to labor camps in Siberia, called the Gulag, from which they rarely emerged. But this made some of them martyrs. Instead, Stalin began sending dissidents to psychiatric hospitals, which destroyed their credibility and subjected them to ridicule. We’re not there yet, but we’re on our way.
It wasn’t enough that for almost 2 years, the health establishment ignored therapeutics entirely: Got Covid? Stay home, drink fluids, wait till you can’t breathe, then go to the hospital where we’ll put you on a ventilator and prepare your death certificate.
It wasn’t enough that doctors or anyone else who mentioned ivermectin were banned from social media and called crazy.
It wasn’t enough that pharmacists were forbidden to fill ivermectin prescriptions, and told to report the doctor to the medical board.
It wasn’t enough that doctors were threatened with loss of their license if they prescribed ivermectin, or even spoke up about it.
No, all that wasn’t quite totalitarian enough for the power-mad. Now doctors are being sent for psychiatric evaluation if they prescribe ivermectin for Covid, and perhaps even if they advocate it.
No need to worry about whether they’re taking our freedom. They already took it while we were locked down, masking, and vaxxing. Stalin is an interesting historical figure, but a really lousy role model.
