Cub Scouts Of Tren De Aragua
Citizens assaulted and robbed, including two NYPD police officers, in Times Square. The assailants were junior members of the violent Venezuelan street gang Tren de Aragua, sort of cub scouts in reverse, ranging in age from 11 up. The young thugs call themselves Diabolos de 42, Devils of 42nd Street, an apt name.
How about a truth in labeling law? You can’t call something toothpaste when in fact it is bathtub calk. Similarly, when New York declares itself a sanctuary city, for whom is it a sanctuary? Apparently for violent criminal gangs and their youth groups. Obviously not for law-abiding citizens or cops in Times Square.
And when San Francisco declares itself a sanctuary city, it means a sanctuary for a thrice-deported drug dealer, but not for Kate Steinle, the young woman he shot to death.
