A First World nation has safe streets, effective schools, and a reliable power grid. California has none of these. But it does have Democrats in every state office, plus a supermajority in both houses of the legislature. Want to see the future? You don’t need to be a prophet. Just look at California. And remember on Election Day.
Merchants killed in their stores. Ordinary cars carjacked. People afraid to wear jewelry or good watches. Kids hit by stray bullets. Rising percent of students below grade level in math and English. Five-hour power outage in middle of weekday. The state will mandate electric cars, electric homes, but does nothing to upgrade the grid. No wonder many young people are depressed. Depression is a logical reaction to a dubious future. But on the bright side, changing the flag will be easy.
