Oscar winner Jeremy Renner critically injured plowing snow. Every year more people are killed by cold than by heat. Traffic crashes. Frozen in stalled cars, unheated houses, lost between house and barn. Monoxide poisoning in stalled cars, unvented room heaters. Falls on icy sidewalks. Heart attacks shoveling snow.

This does not negate the reality of global warming. But it does put things into perspective. A minor amount of warming may be beneficial for humanity. More abundant crop yields and fewer deaths in winter are not negligible benefits.
